Are you seeking Him?

Are you seeking Him?–wisemen

I love the Christmas sweatshirts I see that say “Wisemen still seek Him.” So many times we look to try to find the answers to our problems in every way except the Lord. When we are lonely we look to find someone to “fill the void.” When we need money we decide the answer is in becoming a work-a -holic. When we are sad we turn to alcohol, drugs, even food or other activities to take away the pain. We wander around rather aimlessly not fully understanding that our loving Father who created us, has the answers we are are looking for.

If we are lonely, we have a friend that sticks closer than a brother. (Proverbs 18:24)

When we need provision, all we need to do is ask, for my God will supply all my needs according to His riches and glory. (Philippians 4:19)

When we are sad, we have one that can turn our mourning into joy, and give us true comfort. (Jeremiah 31:13)

The wisemen saw the star and followed it to find the newborn king. Are we seeking him as well? For wisemen (and women) still seek Him. Are you?

But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well…Matthew 6:33
