At my church’s annual women’s retreat we start each day with a prayer walk through the grounds of the retreat center. We start out early in the morning before the sun comes up. We take turns praying out loud for individual prayer concerns, prayer requests from others and anything else the Lord puts on our heart to pray for. There is something about being outside in prayer as the sun comes up that makes you feel so much closer to God.
