Faithful Friday-I Pray…

Note from Dawn:
You know how you have intentions to do something and then things change? Well, my original plans for today’s post was different, but I had an amazing week and I just had to share with you. The journaling will explain…

I Pray

Journaling: We went to pick a friend up from the hospital and left the older girls in charge. I think with daylight savings time and it getting darker quicker, plus being shortly after Halloween, the younger girls were easily spooked!  To help ease Kori’s mind, she prayed and wrote us a letter. When we arrived home, we found it on our bed.  I am constantly amazed at the childlike faith of this 8 year old! I thank God for you Kori.

Scripture: (on hearts) I tell you the truth, anyone who will not receive the kingdom of God like a little child will never enter it.  Mark 10:15

Letter reads:

Mommy and Daddy, I missed you so much that I thought somthing happend then I prayed and told God if you were are (all) right and I jest felt that God told me that you were are right I love you

About layout:

This layout was inspired by the cover of the BoBunny Summer 2009 catalog.  (Kori and I like to cuddle and look through catalogs together discussing our favorite layouts.)  I cut the heart with the Gypsy and Cricut. I ran out of A’s for my title, so had to create one with a V upside down and the inside of an O. I used scraps from the Daisy Bucket Playlist collection. Other materials include ocean cardstock,  journaling transparency, buttons, ribbon and cross punch(True Faith).

Scripture Card

For this week’s card, I used the same patchwork technique as the above layout for my background. The tag is actually the Playlist ribbon card in the Shuffle kit. I did use a rubon to add a little color/texture to the tag.

Faithbooking Challenge:

  • Did you accept the scripture book challenge from last week? I would love to hear about your project and see it!
  • Create a layout using a letter someone has written. (especially if it incorporates their faith)
  • Scraplift a catalog cover.

Final thoughts:

Don’t forget the daily thoughts posted to the blog for encouragement during the week.  If it isn’t too much of a stretch, I am going to try incorporating some challenges or starter questions to coordinate with the daily thoughts. Have a blessed week!

Faithfully,

Dawn
