Gallery Spotlight: Mercy

Layout by Linda Casados

The first journal box under the photo is a simple analogy: “Fall foliage is beautiful to behold, but in truth, dead as the lost soul and destined for the ash heap. God’s mercy saves the spiritually dead from the fires of hell, while His grace quickens him with eternal life. And that is truly beautiful!

The oval text box says, “40 times your Word declares it. 40 times I will affirm it: “His mercy endureth forever”!

The sidebar on the 2nd page is a list of truths concerning God’s mercy that I discovered in my personal Bible study.

I placed a 2nd journal entry in the black text box: “How many times have you saved me from unknown danger, prevented unforeseen tragedy, or healed an undetected illness? How many times have you withheld the anger and justice I deserved?
For every act of mercy of which I am aware, there are many more that go undetected, unrecognized, and unacclaimed. I do not know the half of them. Magnify your mercies, Father, so I cannot mistake your acts of loving-kindness toward me. Make them visible, so all who see may praise you for the great multitude of mercies you shower upon your children.”

The file pocket contains 3 tabbed cards with more info I looked up in Scripture:

1.) What can mercy do?
2.) How can I get it?
3.) Now that I have it…
