It can be hard to get started on your Bible journaling journey without the right supplies on hand.  Here are some basic supplies to get you started. You can always add as you progress through your journey.

The first thing you might think you need is a Bible specifically for journaling. We will get to some in a minute. But first, if you are hesitant to “mess up” a Bible, try these alternatives: Praise book, Christian journal, Artful Journal, Altered composition noteboook or sketchbook. Pens

Precision pens have fine points perfect for your lettering and doodling.  Look for pens that won’t bleed through your Bible pages (like the ones below).

Honestly, this is all you really need.  However, adding color will really bring it to life. Try colored pencils, pens or markers that won’t bleed through, watercolors, oil pastels and paint.

More fun add-ons include alphabet stickers, washi tape, rubberstamps, clips, tabs and more stickers.  Illustrated Faith has an entire line of Bible journaling supplies.

What are your favorite Bible journaling supplies?

Faithfully,

Dawn
