Do It Yourself Faithbooking

As far as I know, there hasn’t been any new faith-based or Christian scrapbooking supplies come out on the market.  If you are aware of any, please contact me and let me know. Therefore, we have decided to do a series on do-it-yourself faithbooking!  We will be exploring various ways to add our faith to our scrapbooking in creative, out of the box ways.  It might be a tutorial on how to make a faith-based element or some other way. We will be starting next week with how to make faith spots.  In the meantime, here is how you can help! Contact us with ideas on what you would like to see. (ie: tutorial on making “faith titles”) Have you created your own faith element? Would you like to share with others? Contact us and we’ll share in an upcoming post to the series. Prepare a how-to tutorial or share an idea that we can in turn share with other faithbookers in our series Contact us...

Thursday Thought-vision for Faithfully Yours

Today I thought I would share my vision for Faithfully Yours with you. Below are my thoughts.  It is long and not grammatically correct, just getting it out there.  <smile> As you already know, Christian scrapbook companies have gone out of business and/or faith lines/collections are being discontinued. There is little Christian products available now. If so, they are old and have been around for several years or any new products are very few. For example, in the past two years the only new products I can recall is Karen Foster’s new Baptism line and the Faith mini album kits from Little Yellow Bicycle. For the past two years, I have been trying to figure out what to do with Faithfully Yours. I have had several ideas, however they never quite made it to fruition. (some started, then fizzled) I recently attended the Creating Keepsakes convention in St. Louis and took some classes. One of these classes really got the juices flowing. What came out of it is the new vision/direction for Faithfully Yours. Most of it is not necessarily new. As a matter of fact, I have been thinking of these ideas for a long time. But for whatever reason, I feel a clearer picture and more definite direction. One stumbling block is paper. Besides the newest Baptism line from Karen Foster, all other faith-based papers are years old. And you know in scrapbooking, that is old! 🙂 I’ve researched creating a faith line, but the investment is just not a viable option. Between the different styles and tastes of scrapbookers to the need to print 1000 sheets...
