Carol created this entire album (as well as the first project) with the Autumn Blessings kit available in Faithfully Yours Shop. There is also a video telling about the album, be sure to scroll down to view. by Carol Alston-Diab Below is a video Carol created talking about the album and showing you page by page. Blessed Baby Boy Album

Blessed Baby Boy Album

I had this kit from Quick Quotes Scrapbooking and decided this would be the perfect project for my daughter’s dance teacher who is having a baby boy. This album has a canvas cover and back with cardstock pages.  The kit came with several slide mounts and small frames.  I wanted it to be easy to add photos, so I didn’t follow the kit instructions exactly. I added some extra embellishments from my stash. I was pleased with the finished results and how quickly it came together. Do you have any unfinished kits or projects like I do? If so, can you think of someone to give it too? Faithfully, P.S. Got a faithbooking project to share?  Submit...
American Church in Paris

American Church in Paris

Today I would like to share a page from my Switzerland/Paris album.  We were in Paris for 4 days and decided we didn’t want to do any tours.  We wanted to experience Paris by foot. We had specific places we wanted to visit, but no set itinerary.  We also knew we wanted to attend church on Sunday but figured we would just ask the hotel receptionist.  After seeing the Eiffel tower and heading towards the Pantheon we ran across the American church in Paris. The church is an inter-denominational, Protestant congregation with roots dating back to 1814. Our tour guide told us the church attendance is about 50%, with many denominations and countries represented. While we were there we were fortunate enough to listen to the worship band practice. This was a nice break to our walking as well as to our soul. –>Please forgive my inability to take a decent picture!  Click images for larger view. We were able to get a tour of the church. The pulpit is decorated with 6 carvings (Pope John XXIII, John Wesley, St. Paul, Martin Luther, John Calvin and Martin Luther King, Jr.)   The windows in the church (below) are of the patriarchs, the prophets, the Gospel, the Apostles’ call, the parables of Jesus, the works of Christ, the passion of Christ, the resurrection, the evangelists, the saints, the reformers, and French-American Alliance/War Memorial.   The angel stained glass window was created by Louis comfort Tiffany. Yes, the same artist that makes Tiffany lamps.  All the glass in the window is his signature “handcrafted” glass. The face, hands, and feet of...
Throwback Thursday- G.R.A.T.I.T.U.D.E.

Throwback Thursday- G.R.A.T.I.T.U.D.E.

GRATITUDE album by Margie Conway 2009 was an odd year for most of everyone I know. As the year ended I reflected on the things that made a big impact. I used the letters in the word “Gratitude” as a base to start from. Each one points to someone or something that captured a lot of my time last year. My Grandma was a big part of my ups and downs for the year. Her health deteriorated and we were forced to place her into a full time nursing facility. Between that and my own health I stayed on edge. These things helped me keep my perspective and focus on the good things. G is for Grandma – She was always there for me, now I will be there for her. R is for Ricky – My husband always supports and participates in all of my crazy schemes. He also keeps me grounded. A is for Altered Plans – When the world throws in trouble, such as car trouble, the Lord throws in something great! Groundhogs! T is for Three Children – We are a blended family. These are OUR three children. I is for Inspiration – No matter what, no matter where – God shows up. T is for Three Grand Children – Blessed, Blessed, Blessed! What more should I say? U is for Understanding – Through all my health problems Friends and Family are there. D is for Delight – I find delight in all things! God supplies my joy! E is for Experience – 2009 was an odd year. But through it all I am blessed...
