Throwback Thursday: Are You Investing in Eternity

One key to remembering is repetition.  Throwback Thursdays gives us the perfect excuse to revisit projects from the past to be reminded of God’s faithfulness then and now.  Today’s inspiration goes back to 2009! I”ll Fly Away by Betsy Burnett My favorite faithbooking project is actually my “I’ll fly away” album. As soon as I started creating this album, the song “I’ll fly away” started going through my head. I couldn’t get it out. The more I thought about it, the more I knew I had to use the song with the book. The words of the song became doodles along the edges of the album. The purpose of the album became to talk about how I have grown in my understanding of what it means to be a Christian. Journaling Reads: At first it was just about getting “SAVED” from hell, allowing Jesus’ death and resurrection on the cross to rescue me from what I deserved. As I GREW it turned into giving my heart to Jesus, not just part but all of it not to mention all of the hopes, dreams, triumphs and disappointments within allowing HIM to work them together for good! As I got older it became about identifying myself with Jesus as a Christian.a “Christ-like” one, a person that follows and acts like HIM. Now it’s about finally realizing that as a believer in Jesus I am already seated with Him in heavenly places for all eternity, and because of that realizing how short life on earth truly is in comparison. Thankful for Fall

Are you thankful for fall? I love fall, but I am thankful for all the seasons. I love living in the midwest with the changing seasons, a reminder that our life is also made up of changing seasons. What season are you in? No matter what season God has you in now, whether you are in feast or famine, drought or plenty, cling to Him and walk in His ways.
