Throwback Thursday: Thanking God

Throwback Thursday: Thanking God

The matted photos on an angle, grouped together, surrounded by a title,  a little embellishing and a journal block of what you are thankful for, brings it all together.  Simply a lovely layout. Notice the subtle pen work around the “grateful” title? Love it! Supplies used: solid cross texture for background (reverse side of patterned paper) journal block from Autumn Blessings cutouts *from Autumn Blessings kit (available in Faithfully Yours store) Journal prompts Have you taken time to thank God recently for what you are grateful for? Throwback Thursday: Christ’s Love For Us

Throwback Thursday: Christ’s Love For Us

I’m excited to share some inspiration from the past with you about Christ’s love for us. Art Journal by Diane Marra A quote from the art journal: I am not what I ought to be. I am not what I wish to be. I am not even what I hope to be. But by the cross of Christ, I am not what I was. John Newton You can see and learn more on Diane’s blog. Eternal Love Layout by Joy Jarvis, aka Vanillabliss I had wanted to create a LO as an expression of my belief in Christ’s death and resurrection for a very long time. This LO hangs on the wall in my scraproom to constantly remind of the sacrifice He made for everyone. Although it is difficult to look upon, I wanted the most realistic photo I could get of the pain & suffering He endured for us. Journaling My journaling is several verses pertaining to His death and resurrection from the King James Version of the Bible. For God so love the world that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him shall not perish but have everlasting life. John 3:16 Materials: Papers from Bo Bunny Press, the Timepiece collection Ranger Distress Ink in Brushed Corduroy Ranger Ink Distress Crackle Paint Title and papers from Creative Imaginations Breathless collection You can learn more about Joy and see her work at her blog My Scraptuary.   I’m always looking for creative and visible reminders to help us remember who God is and who we are in Christ.  Have something to share?  Submit here....
If We Love One Another

If We Love One Another

In the last post, What is love, I shared 3 ways to love each other. In honor of Throwback Thursday, I thought I would share some faithbooking inspiration from the past. Layout by Linda Harper I wanted to keep the heart, so I printed out the three pictures of my kids and dh and layered them inside the heart. I found the ribbon that was a perfect match in my stash, and then used the Prima flower spray and rose. The scripture/quote was cut apart and fit onto the journaling spot. [pintraffic desc=’Layout by Linda Harper, faithbooking inspiration at FaithfullyYours.net’ position=’7′ icon=’pinterest’ page=’http://www.faithfullyyours.net/327′]http://www.faithfullyyours.net/wp-content/uploads/2014/07/LoveOneAnother.jpg[/pintraffic] Sometimes scrapbook products we want to use don’t always work together. I love how Linda cut apart the scripture to fit inside the journaling spot. Questions to ponder: How have you altered a scrapbooking product to meet your need? What are your thoughts on the verse Linda used on her layout? Faithfully,   P.S. Leave a comment and share your thoughts an the above...
