You Are Beyond Measure Blog Hop

I feel very blessed to be asked by Tammy over at Beyond Measure to participate in her blogaversary Blog Hop! If you are new to Faithfully Yours  then “Welcome!”

For my project, I’m creating a mini “comfort” book.  I think about so many people with health issues: chemotherapy, dialysis, in and out of the hospital.  No matter how strong your faith is, this trial can seem overwhelming.  Even Jesus asked for the trial to be taken from him.

“My soul is overwhelmed with sorrow to the point of death. Stay here and keep watch with me.”Going a little farther, he fell with his face to the ground and prayed, “My Father, if it is possible, may this cup be taken from me. Yet not as I will, but as you will.”  Matthew 26:38-39

For trials when you are needing some comfort, turning to the Word will bring peace.  The following mini-book has spots for 7 scripture verses.  I chose 3 colors to work with that hope to be calming as well.

This is the front. The pink pulls out for a scripture verse. The pink tab on top also pulls out for scripture.

Turn the page and pull out again for more scripture.

This page also opens up to the left to reveal two more (pink) spots for scripture as well as two (blue) tabs at top.

The reverse side of the pull out tags can also be used for scripture or for the recipients own heart-filled prayers.

This completes the mini-book or at least one “page”. It is compact enough to carry with you and has plenty of room for scripture, thoughts and prayers.

Notice the extra space on the left on front page or far right on open page? This is for binding if you choose to create multiple pages. I think it would be neat to create a different “page” for different themes. (comfort, peace, hope)

About this project:

Tutorial to create can be found here.
I used double-sided cardstock from Christmas Glory collection.
I also used Tim Holtz mini rosette and spiral blossom dies.
